2nd international showdown tournament
Show – Prague 2010

Tournament is organised in conjuction with Charles University in Prague -
Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, under the auspices of

Vice – Dean for Economy and Development related Issues of Physical Education and Sports

Date:
This tournament will be held on 8th – 11th July 2010

Place:
Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, José Martího 31/269, Prague 6 - Veleslavin. (north – west part of Prague, with good connection to the city center )

Game rooms:
were changed – for better acoustics – tournament will be played in game rooms in dormitory

Categories:
The tournament will be played in the men and women categories separately. Category winners will play the final match for the absolute winner of the tournament.

(Each country can submit a maximum number of 6 players (for example, 3 men - 3 women). It is not prerequisite to fill full number.)

Please send your registration to e-mail address: prague.cbsa@seznam.cz with number of players as soon as possible.
The void positions will be offered to another prospective participants. Thank you in advance.

Referees:
The organizer welcome the participation of at least one referee from each country.

Organizer will pay all costs for referees - accomdation, meals, inclusive travel costs.

The participation fee: for the player and team staff (coaches,guides, etc.) is 2 500, - Czk.
The fee is not applied from referees. Will be paid cash after arrival.

It includes:
*meals ( the first meal: dinner on Thursday 8th July, the last meal: lunch on Sunday 11th July and meal package for the jurney ) in: facultys Student´s hall in the same building as game rooms

*accomodation - 3 nights in dormitory of faculty (3 or 4-persons rooms ), in the same building as game rooms

Game system:
The tournament will be played on 5 tables in men/women categories.

Men
Players are divided into 4 groups by draw.
Best three players from each group progresses to quarterfinals with following system:
Quarterfinal Group A: A 1-3, C 1-3.
Quarterfinal Group B: B 1-3, D 1-3.
Results of reciprocal games from basic groups are included.

Semifinal games:
These games are played to 3 winning sets, including game for 3rd place and final:
A1–B2 and A2–B1

Games for 5–12 place
A3–B3 place 5-6
A4-B4 place 7-8
A5-B5 place 9-10
A6-B6 place 11-12
Games for 13–24 places
Players in order from basic groups on 4-6th places:
Group C: A 4–6, C 4–6
Group D: B 4–6, D 4–6
Results of reciprocal games from basic groups are included.

Winners of groups plays for 13-14 places
Players on lower position plays for other places to 2324. places

In case of remaining time is possible to play for 25–28 places.
The 29th place fill looser of A group.

Women
Players are didived into 3 groups.
Best two players from each group progresses to quarterfinals.
Results of reciprocal games from bacic groups are included.

Semifinal games:
These games are played to 3 winning sets, including game for 3rd place and final:
1–4, 2–3.

Winners plays final, loosers plays for 3rd place

Games for 7–9 places
Players on 3rd position from basic groups plays for 7-9 places.
Players on lower position plays for other places under the same system.

Each team will have assistant, dressed in white t-shirt with ?SZPS logo

1915– Official opening of tournament in FTVS Congress hall
1945 Training in game rooms and warm-up team areas
Official meeting in Congress hall - coaches and referees

* by plane: Prague – Ruzyne
* by train: Prague – Main Station – Hlavni nadrazi or Prague – Holesovice, Prague – Smichov
* by car: to Prague 6 – Veleslavin - north – west part of Prague,
GPS: Loc: 50°5'35.015"N, 14°20'5.066"E

Transportation from and to Prague airport Ruzyn? or from and to train station :
The organizer can manage transportation from and to Prague airport Ruzyn? or from train station (upon request) the transportation fee is 250,- CZK for one way – group of maximum 8 persons.

Connection by public transport in Prague:

From the Ruzyn? Airport:
Take a bus line 119 to the „Divoká Šárka station“, next cross to tram line 20 or 26 (direction down to the city centre) to the „ Vozovna Vokovice“ station. Take the right pavement and go a bit the same direction as the tram. The José Martího street is situated parallely on the right side to the main street „Evropská“. The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport is a large building, see to the map.

From the central train station:
Take metro line C (directly on the station) direction „Haje“, only for one stop to „Museum“ station and there change to line "A" (green) - direction „Dejvická“ station. There take tram number 20 or 26 direction Divoká Šárka and go up to the station „Vozovna Vokovice“, cross the rails to the left side pavement and go a bit back . The José Martího street is situated parallely to the main street Evropská, on the left side. The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport is a large building, see to the map.
